A couple of years ago Barry & Ros embarked on their own ‘Grand Design’ with two derelict barns behind the farm.
The end result is two five star holiday lets: The Oak Barn & Stable Barn.
They are green oak structures beautifully finished and attractively furnished.
They come with their own parking, garden and patio areas together with spectacular views.
Oak Barn
The split level design emphatically defines each space. There’s an elevated sitting and dining area that overlooks the kitchen. Then there’s an oak staircase leading to the mezzanine. Under the mezzanine there’s a double bedroom with shower room en-suite. Also on the ground floor there’s a further shower room and WC.
With the day bed on the mezzanine and the sofa bed in the seating area this spacious barn will sleep up to 6 people.
Stable Barn
More conventional in design than its neighbour, Stable Barn certainly doesn’t lose out on character.
The open-plan ground floor has a natural division in the form of the handmade oak staircase between the kitchen and sitting space. And cleverly hidden is a downstairs shower room together with basin and WC.
On the first floor is the double bedroom and across the landing there’s the bathroom complete with a contemporary roll top bath.
By employing the sofa bed in the sitting area this barn will comfortably sleep 4 people.
